Question & Answer

We are discussing Overseas Volunteering
With Linda Elliot, Monica Kincade and Meghan Bailey

Question:
Can Australians over the age of 50 be volunteers?

Answer:
Meghan - Yes – many Australians in their 60s and 70s are currently volunteering overseas. Our partner organisations say that the older Australians who have volunteered with them were tremendously adaptable, flexible and had a wealth of experience and knowledge. Over the past five years, 24% of our volunteers have been over the age of 45, and an increasing number of applicants to AVI have retired and are looking for an exciting and meaningful way to spend the next couple of years. www.australianvolunteers.com/home
