Question & Answer

We are discussing Overseas Volunteering
With Linda Elliot, Monica Kincade and Meghan Bailey

Question:
What opportunities are available for people to volunteer overseas with AVI?

Answer:
Meghan - Every year, Australian Volunteers International recruits, prepares and supports hundreds of Australians who volunteer to work with people in developing communities overseas. These volunteers have skills and experience in a wide range of professional backgrounds.

Volunteers are placed in response to needs expressed by developing communities. They work for local employers in each country, and receive full support, including airfares, insurance, briefing and in-country assistance.

The majority of volunteer placements are for two years, however a few short-term placements are also available. AVI has four recruitment cycles per year, and volunteer placements are listed on the website: www.australianvolunteers.com
