Volunteering

Volunteering is defined as freely performing work or being of use to various organisations and groups whose needs exceed their resources. Volunteering can take on a lot of exciting and interestings forms and types, try exploring Alaska, collecting data on Easter Island, supporting Australia’s world class environment or working with Indigenous communities.

 

Helps eligible adult migrants and refugees who cannot attend English classes, and is an initiative of the Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs.

Bringing all kinds of practical advice and training to assist businesses and organisations in developing countries to grow and thrive.

An Australian non-government organisation that provides opportunities for Australians to live alongside, learn from and share skills with people in developing communities.

There are number of national and local charities that are always available for volunteering and for contributions.

Engages people in scientific field research and education, to promote the understanding and action necessary for a sustainable environment.

Volunteer opportunities can be identified by specifying the postcode of the region you wish to volunteer in, and/or by specifying the type of volunteer work you are interested in doing.
