 Utilities Allowance is a payment for income support customers of age or veteran pension age. The purpose of this payment is to assist recipients to pay their utilities bills.

This payment rate is effective from 20 March 2008. Utilities Allowance is a non-taxable payment of $27.30 per member of a couple and $54.60 for single people (or members of a couple separated by illness). It is paid every six months to qualified income support payment recipients.
