Nutrition Australia is a non-government, non-profit, community based-organisation with offices in all states and territories. Nutrition Australia is an independent body that aims to promote the health and well-being of all Australians. This site has many useful resources including
food fact sheets as well as
activities and exercises for older Australians.
On
Health Insite you will find a wide range of up-to-date and quality information on important health topics such as conditions and disease through to information relating to health and well being. In particular is a useful resource about good nutrition and special dietary requirements for older people.
Food Watch is a free online resource centre for nutrition. There is a good link to Dietary Guidelines for Older Australians
Dieticians Association Australia (DAA) is the national association of the profession, with branches in each state and territory. This website is useful for smart eating tips, including smart eating recipes. This site also allows you to search for a Dietician in your area.
Sports Dieticians Australia (SDA) is an organisation of dieticians, specialising in the field of sports nutrition. SDA promotes healthy eating to enhance the performance of active people whatever their level of physical activity. This site allows you to find a sports dietician in your area. And also gives a great explanation on specific sports, such as tennis and golf and explains the best diet for you while playing a particular sport.
CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation) is one of the world’s largest and most diverse scientific global research organisations, their work touches every aspect of Australian life. They have an importnant section on

Australian Government Department of Veterans' Affairs provides support to the Repatriation Commission, who is responsible for granting pensions, allowances and other benefits, and providing treatment and other services through its hospital and institutions or through community facilities to veterans, their dependants and other eligible persons.
