The Injury Control Council of Western Australia (ICCWA)


The Injury Control Council of Western Australia is a non-profit community-based organisation, which is involved in multiple injury prevention and control activities in Western Australia. One of the main objectives of the ICCWA is to ensure a reduction in injuries, with a special focus on the physical, mental, social, economic and other aspects of injuries. The Injury Control Council of Western Australia website has a number of interesting lunchtime forums, falls seminars, activities & events as well as employment opportunities for those living in Western Australia.

The Department of Health and Ageing


The Department of Health and Ageing website contains a wide range of topics relevant to consumers, including seniors and the ageing population. The Department of Health and Ageing has a wide range of information on Injury Prevention in Australia, including information on the National Falls Prevention for Older People Initiative, which aims to reduce falls in people aged 65 years and over living in community and aged care homes, as well as those being treated in hospitals.

These centres can provide free and confidential information on home help and other support services available locally, interstate or anywhere within Australia.
