Government sites

The Department of Health and Ageing website, Health.gov.au, has information on diabetes including publications, data, and government initiatives.

HealthInsite has information on many different aspects of diabetes, including complications associated with diabetes and the prevention of diabetes through lifestyle changes.

Diabetes Australia

Diabetes Australia is a non-profit organisation offering personal assistance to benefit those living with diabetes, and helps support diabetes research. Don’t Ignore Diabetes is a Diabetes Australia campaign to increase community awareness of Type 2 diabetes. Further help with diabetes

The International Diabetes Institute is the largest diabetes centre in Australia. Their website offers information on patient care, research, and education, as well as resources for medical and health care professionals.

The Diabetes Counselling website offers many forms of counselling and community activities for members, including private counselling, chat rooms and an email buddy service. Its resources include information on the different types of health professionals involved in diabetes and what they do, such as endocrinologists, ophthalmologists, and dieticians.
