The Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission (HREOC) administers Commonwealth laws relating to human rights infringements and discrimination. It has the authority to conduct inquiries and resolve matters of discrimination and human rights infringements under the Racial Discrimination Act 1975, the Sex Discrimination Act 1984, the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission Act 1986.

If you have a problem which you think has been caused by discrimination or an abuse of human rights, you can contact the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission for free advice and assistance.
