Do you want to know about your consumer rights? Do you need more information about how businesses should act when selling you goods and services?
The Trade Practices Act 1974 sets out the ground rules for trading between businesses and consumers. Under the Act, consumers have a right to accurate and truthful information about their purchases from businesses. The ACCC publishes a range of information that will help you understand your rights under the Act and how to recognise unlawful selling practices.
For help with consumer protection matters, you can visit the ACCC’s website or call the ACCC’s Infocentre on 1300 302 502. You could also contact the Office of Fair Trading in your state or territory.
