Kidney Disease can be caused by infection, toxic substances, high blood pressure and diabetes. It becomes a disease when the damage is extensive enough to debilitate kidney function.

It appears that end stage Renal Disease can be delayed through early identification, treatment with drugs and a holistic approach to improving your nutrition, blood pressure, weight control, diabetes and any infections.

When about 95% of Kidney function has been lost, daily dialysis (the technique where your blood is filtered through a membrane that lets the toxic products through but holds back cells and proteins) or transplantation is needed for survival.
