QA Forum Usage Policy
The following information is a guide for you to contribute to seniors.gov.au. Whether it is a listing for our Events Calendar, your story and pictures for our Living History section, a comment for Meeting Place, or questions and topic suggestions for the Q&A Forum, all content must adhere to the following guidelines.
- All contributions to seniors.gov.au must include your contact details or the contact details of the person who wrote it so we can contact them for verification or additional information.
- Any contributions featuring additional material (written, pictorial or audiovisual) from another person or organisation must include a statement mentioning the copyright owner of the material. (For example: Photo owned by National Geographic)
- You must advise any people who appear in your picture that you intend to submit the picture for the seniors.gov.au website.
- All information that you contribute is reviewed prior to being placed upon seniors.gov.au. This information is also reviewed at regular intervals to ensure accuracy, relevancy and currency.
- Most importantly, any defamatory, abusive, baiting, harassing, obscene, profane, vulgar, sexually explicit, threatening, politically orientated or illegal material, or any material containing blatant expressions of bigotry, racism or hate will not be included on the site.
- By submitting a contribution to seniors.gov.au you give us permission to publish your contribution on seniors.gov.au or other Australian Government websites. Before we publish a contribution to Living History we will send out a consent form that you must sign and return to us.
- Seniors.gov.au will not publish content or material that:
o Expresses opinions by vested interests or pressure groups
o Refers to a commercial sponsor or is in the form of an advertisement.
- As a contributor, any material you incorporate into your contribution must adhere to all relevant copyright laws. For further information see the Copyright policy for seniors.gov.au.
- The Australian Government reserve the right:
o To remove any contributions from the site at any time, without providing any notice of this decision.
- Please note that views, advice and/or recommendations given by third parties and published on this site remain the property of the third party and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Australian Government, or indicate a commitment to a particular course of action. The Australian Government does not accept any legal liability or responsibility for such views, advice or recommendations.
- We make every effort to ensure the quality of the information available on seniors.gov.au and endeavour to update the information regularly. However, the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing cannot guarantee and assumes no legal liability or responsibility for the accuracy, currency or completeness of the information.
