About Gloria Robbins
I was born and educated in Scotland, migrating to New Zealand in 1950. While living there, I married and we came to live in Canberra in 1957. My family at present consists of four children, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
In my working life I have been a soil statistician, a university lecturer and a computer programmer working in the field of computer assisted learning and also as a user consultant.
Since retiring in 1991 I have worked as a volunteer trainer in general computing and the internet in the Pacific and within Australia. My present activities include coordinating a fortnightly computer and discussion group for the University of the Third Age (U3A), also being involved in U3A Online for those who are unable to attend U3A meetings. I am a member of the RSL Woden Sub-Branch where I initially set up and now keep our web page up-to-date.
There is something new to learn everyday in the computing environment and I look forward to being able to help those who have a question to ask.
