About Beverley Steer

Bev is a health services program manager with the Injury Prevention and Falls area within the Population Health Division of the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing. During her 8 years with the department she has been involved in a number of community based programs and health initiatives. These have included areas such as Bush Nursing and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.

The Australian Government supports injury and falls prevention in Australia through a range of funded projects and partnership arrangements with state and territory governments, research institutions and community organizations aimed at reducing the mortality and morbidity of injuries.
