About Roger Bayley

My name is Roger Bayley, always wanted to cook from a young age. Joined the merchant Navy as a Trainee and learnt my trade, attending college when not at sea. Decided that it wasn't the be all and end all and transferred my allegiance to the hospitality industry, where I have run pubs and hotels in both England and Australia.

Came to Australia in 1981, working in pubs and racecourses around Sydney. Moved to Moruya in 1985 and found my love of cooking again. Opened my own restaurant which went well until TAFE offered me a job teaching Commercial Cookery in the new Moruya College, where I have been for the past 20 years.

I love giving the young people of today some of my knowledge gained over the years, and of course pass on many of my recipes to our seniors through ABC South East Radio, where I have been passing on recipes for the past 15 years.
