Question:
I have a 'frozen shoulder' and can’t lift the arm above my head. I am feeling depressed and lethargic with the pain that just doesn’t seem to want to go away. What can I do to improve my condition?

Answer:
Helen-If you have not received physiotherapy treatment that should be the first plan of action. Have your condition diagnosed and treated. Then attend a gym or community physical activity where you can follow up on your prescribed home exercises.

Even if you cannot use the affected shoulder there are still three other limbs to exercise with and it is important that you keep up your general fitness and strength while your shoulder recovers – as it usually does, although quite slowly.
