If you are aged 50 or over and receiving a Newstart Allowance, Widow Allowance, Partner Allowance, or Mature Age Allowance, you may be eligible for assistance from a Centrelink Personal Adviser.

Personal advisers work with you to:

  • identify your employment concerns and needs;
  • develop participation plans and preparing for work agreements; and
  • motivate, encourage and monitor your progress.

They also ensure that you get the right help early on by referring you to service providers and linking you with community support.
