Older people may use Naturopathy for the treatment of common disorders such as: chronic fatigue syndrome, arthritis, depression, digestive complaints, heart disease, hormonal imbalances, insomnia, anxiety and skin problems.

Naturopathy approaches health care from a preventative angle through balancing the body so that illness is less likely to occur in the future. If you go to see a Naturopath, they will ask about your diet, lifestyle, family background, as well as the history to your problem. This approach is holistic; by focusing on treatment, education and prevention and by treating the person not the disease.

Some non-invasive techniques used by Naturopaths are: nutrition analysis- diet and lifestyle changes, herbal medicine and flower remedies (including Australia's very own Bush Flower Essences) and massage. Bush Flower Essences, made from Australian native plants and trees, have been used for centuries by Indigenous communities.
