NICRI is an independent body funded by the Australian Government to provide the public with free information on planning and saving for retirement, investment options and effective use of financial resources in retirement.

NICRI does not represent government or the financial industry, and provides financial information, not financial advice. It delivers its services to the public through a toll-free telephone inquiry service, a website, and presentations at external seminars and Centrelink Financial Information Service seminars.

NICRI has recently developed an online financial education tool known as moneymap.
moneymap has a number of calculators to work out loan, investment and savings scenarios and has links to relevant government departments, consumer based agencies and information leaflets. It highlights issues surrounding the financial planning process such as considering and prioritising investment needs and objectives, stocktaking your current situation and looking at your risk profile to determine if your attitude towards investing will meet your investment objectives. moneymap can be accessed through the NICRI website.

NICRI also provides an extensive range of information leaflets which can be obtained from their website.
