Music therapy
Feedback
When applied by a qualified practitioner, Music Therapy is the prescribed clinical use of music as a therapeutic intervention in order to stimulate positive changes in four areas of human functioning: cognitive, physical, psychological, and social.
It uses the appeal of music to help people of all ages and abilities and can be seen as both an art and a science. The first point of contact for music therapy in Australia is the Australian Music Therapy Association website. The Association provides educational programs, clinical programs, links to music and musicians, and a range of other relevant information.
