Mature Age Allowance

There have been no new claims of Mature Age Allowance since 20 September 2003. However, customers already receiving this payment can continue to receive it provided they continue to meet the qualification provisions. An alternative payment will usually be Newstart Allowance, which is paid at the same rate as the Mature Age Allowance.
