I use my daughters computer in town, she helps me all the time. How often would volunteers be able to come out to help me in my home?

Answer:
Gloria - You are very lucky having a daughter who lets you use her computer and who also helps you when you need it. I gather you have a computer at home and would like a volunteer to give you some one-to-one tuition. You ask how often a volunteer could come to you. I take it that you are mobile as you visit your daughter.

This is not a question I can answer as it would depend on several factors:
(a) the reason(s) why you might be eligible for someone to visit you (age, health, young family...)
(b) the area where you live (how far from a town).
(c) the facilities such as TAFE, U3A etc., computer clubs offering courses in town.

If an organisation were to provide a tutor for you, the committee would also need to know details of your computer system and for what you mainly wished to use it.The organisation of which I am a member, VISE (Volunteers for Isolated Students' Education), provides tutors for families living in remote areas. It's great that you want to learn to do more with your computer. It opens up new worlds once you can communicate with friends and family by email and can look up information or just browse on the net.
