The Language, Literacy and Numeracy Programme can help you improve your speaking, reading, writing or basic maths skills. Language, literacy and numeracy training is available if you are registered with Centrelink to find work and you would like to improve your skills in these areas. If you are eligible you will receive up to 400 hours of basic adult language, literacy and numeracy training. Training is conducted in small groups for between 6 and 20 hours a week for a period of 20 to 52 weeks. Job seekers who have difficulty in attending training can get help assistance in their own home through distance education.
