Just wondering how I go about arranging a safety and security inspection, I live in Nelson Bay about an hour north of Newcastle.

Answer:
Paul - Nelson Bay is one of my favourite places in Australia but unfortunately CLASP does not operate in NSW. The Occupational Therapist at the local Health Centre generally undertakes falls prevention reviews of private homes.
In addition some local councils will provide broader home safety advice, the Fire Brigade make recommendations concerning fire safety and the Police may advise on improving security.

As you can see, it is frequently difficult to obtain comprehensive advice on these interrelated issues. This is the very reason that CLASP was formed and the emergency services work together on this project in the ACT.
