Question & Answer

We are discussing Grandparents Raising Grandchildren
With Deanne O'Keefe and Anne Clarke

Question:
A friend of mine suggested that I get the Mirabel Booklet because it included information about support for grandparents. Where can I get a copy?

Answer:
Anne - You are right, the Australian Government provided funding to the Mirabel Foundation to update its When the children arrive ... booklet so that it included information about support and financial assistance to grandparent and other relative carers from all states and territories. The Mirabel Booklet, which was launched in April 2004, is a useful resource for any grandparent or relative caring for children.

You can get download a copy from our website - http://www.facs.gov.au/internet/facsinternet.nsf/Family/parenting-when_the_children_arrive.htm. Alternatively, you may like to request a copy of the booklet by telephoning the Mirabel Foundation on 03 95279422.
