Question & Answer

We are discussing Tracing family history
With Antoinette Buchanan, Stephanie Ryan and Jennifer Higgins

Question:
My family migrated to Australia after WWII, can I find information?

Answer:
Antoinette - The National Archives of Australia holds records of migration and citizenship. There is an excellent book about using the National Archives Collections for family history research called Finding families: the guide to the National Archives of Australia for genealogists that explains all of the sorts of records that can be used and how to access them.

Your local library or family history group should have a copy of this book. If it isn't in your local library, they will be able to get it from another library on inter-library loan.
