Question & Answer

We are discussing Tracing family history
With Antoinette Buchanan, Stephanie Ryan and Jennifer Higgins

Question:
My greatgreatgrandfather was born in Italy and was a poet and participated in Giuseppe Garibaldi expedition to liberate the isle of Sicily, what was his first name and where can I locate books published with his poems?

Answer:
Jennifer - There were over a thousand men who accompanied Garibaldi on his expedition to liberate Sicily, so without further information I can't help you to identify your poet ancestor. There are a number of books available on the subject of this expedition and Garibaldi. Look at Libraries Australia and enter 'Giuseppi Garibaldi' in the search box. You will then be able to see if any of the books about Garibaldi and his campaign are available at a library near you. You will also find plenty of material using the same search in Google.
