Answer:
Jennifer - I see that you haven't specified exactly what you'd like to find about this man, so I will just give you a few starters for information about him.
Edwin's Attestation papers for WW1 with the Canadian forces are available online at Collections Canada.
You may obtain a copy of his WW2 AIF service records from the National Archives of Australia.
The Victorian BDM index shows his marriage to Frances Hilda Noland in 1923, Reg No. 10231 and his death in 1961, aged 70, at Park. Reg No. 1741, parents William Clark and Margaret McDonald. You may purchase both these certificates as online digitised images at the Department for Victorian Communities - Birth, deaths and marriages . His death certificate should give you some idea of the date of his arrival in Australia. Guided by this information, you may find his arrival in Victoria on the index to passengers at the Public Record Office website. Check for options such as Mr or E Clark as well as Edwin.
You may purchase Edwin's birth certificate on the Scottish website Scotlands' People at and also view the various censuses for the time of his residence in Scotland.
