Just ready for the sixties

I didn’t see much of the forties as I was born near the end of them. This meant I was born at exactly the right time for the swingin’ sixties. My favourite band was the Beach Boys. (Definitely not the Beatles!) My favourite in the group was Carl because I liked his voice and we were around the same age. My girlfriends and I used to sit in my bedroom listening to their records but we couldn’t dance to the music because the needle would always hop. Sadly I never saw the Beach Boys in concert although my daughter tried to convince me to fly to America to see their reunion last year.
