Aussie Rules

My family and I were lucky enough to have tickets to the demonstration game of Aussie Rules. My husband and I drove the kids from south-west Victoria and stayed with my sister and her family. It was the first time that the world was going to see a game that, as a state, was much loved. We tried to get to a VFL/AFL match each year, and this year was no different.

The MCG was full to the brim, and the streets around were full of cheering Aussies. My family supported Melbourne, and in the Victorian Football League (VFL) and Victorian Football Association (VFA) team, we got to see Cordner and Collopy play.

I wonder what the world thought of Aussie Rules? I watch sports from many other countries, and I still believe AFL to be one of the most exciting and skilled games around.
