A range of concessions are available to eligible older Australians. Most of these concessions are provided by Australian Government agencies such as Centrelink and the Department of Veterans Affairs, and by Telstra and your local government.

Covers Commonwealth Seniors Health Card, Australian Government Health Care Card and the Seniors Card.

Offered by each state and territory, this card entitles older Australians to a range of benefits provided by commercial and retail businesses.

The various tax concessions available to Australian over 50 are sourced from the Australian Taxation Office, including tax offsets and medicare information.

These services help you to manage your phone bills, access, finance and accessibility.

You can appoint a person to look after your affairs with Centrelink or the Family Assistance Office.

Centrelink publications can be made upon request in other formats such as audio tape, large print, braille or floppy disc where appropriate.
