Question:
Can a CD burner also burn DVDs?
Answer:
Nan - No. You need a DVD burner to do this. DVD burners burn discs far more intensively than do CDs. DVD burners can burn and read CDs, because they are backwards compatible. A standard single layer DVD holds about 4.7Gb of data, whereas a CD holds only about 780 Megabytes... only an eighth of the capacity.
