Question & Answer

We are discussing Surfing through Computers and the Internet
With Nathanael Boehm, Nan Bosler and DCITA

Question:
I cannot type because of arthritis in both hands. Can I still use a computer?

Answer:
Nan - Yes, most definitely. There are programs such as Dragon Naturally Speaking with which users can simply speak into a microphone and watch their words come up on the screen. As far as using the mouse is concerned, there are large track-ball mice that make using a mouse fairly easy for people with hand/finger problems. For a lot more information about adaptive technology go to the ASCCA's Barrier Free Access Kit page.
