Question & Answer

We are discussing Surfing through Computers and the Internet
With Nathanael Boehm, Nan Bosler and DCITA

Question:
I have a large email in my mailbox which is affecting other emails coming through, and my service cuts out saying that some email is taking so long that the service is terminated. Every time I log on, I keep getting the same previous email that is clogging up the works. With my previous ISP I just used to go to their page, read the emails, and delete the offending email. Please help.

Answer:
Nathanael - The only way you can review and delete emails before having to download them to your computer is by using your ISPs webmail facility, which you should be able to access via their home page.

If someone has sent you a large email and it's clogging up your Internet connection and email then log in into your webmail and:

  • download the attachment from webmail, or
  • just delete it if you don't want to read it.
