Question & Answer

We are discussing Surfing through Computers and the Internet
With Nathanael Boehm, Nan Bosler and DCITA

Question:
How can I play a cd on the computer that has photos on it?

Answer:
Nathanael - Most computers will automatically open or play a CD when you insert it into the CD drive. If nothing happens when you insert the CD, then you can browse to the CD through My Computer (if using Microsoft Windows).

If the CD just has photos on it then you can open each photo individually and unless you've installed 3rd party software then the photos will open in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, where you can simply click the arrows at the bottom to move between photos.

If your CD is a hybrid CD with both audio and data and you wish to play the audio on your computer, then your music application will probably not automatically open when you insert the CD. You will need to manually open your music software and play the CD - for example open Windows Media Player, go to the "Play" menu and select "VCD or CD audio".
