The rules relating to the continuance of Centrelink payments outside Australia are complicated, and customers need to talk to Centrelink so they can know how their travel plans will affect their payments. Most payments from Centrelink (except for certain pensions) can only be paid for temporary absences outside Australia; meaning that your permanent home is still in Australia.

Customers who leave Australia without advising Centrelink may find their payments disrupted or stopped as a result. More information can be found on the Centrelink website.
