Books and reading

Reading is such a popular activity for many Australians, and a great way to keep your mind active. There are many book clubs around Australia and internationally where you can discuss different genres of book or read reviews of the latest releases. Also available are spoken word books where you can sit back and listen.

Bonzer! is a lively, free, monthly on-line journal by, for and about seniors.

There are many international and national book clubs, all of which can be accessed via the National Library of Australia.

Online book reviews are an excellent resource to utilise prior to purchasing or lending books.

Has been developed to honour the lives and achievements of a selection of Australians who were nominees for the National Australia Day Council Senior Australian of the Year Award (2005).

A great way to enjoy literature in a completely different way and for visually impaired people.
