The Australian Shareholders' Association (ASA) champions the cause of retail shareholders. With a focus on good company performance, this not-for-profit organisation has been protecting and advancing the interests of investors since 1960 and has been successful in raising the standard of corporate governance in Australian listed companies. The ASA holds investor education days and a national conference, provides members with the monthly journal, EQUITY, and with full online access to a wealth of information on listed companies.

The ASA also holds regular meetings, coffee mornings and discussion groups across the country in all major cities and many regional areas. These groups provide members, mainly self-funded retirees, with the opportunity to access a network of like-minded investors, discuss investment related topics or areas of concern and hear from a range of speakers and industry participants. Visitors are always welcome. The ASA also provides a telephone help line for members.
