Adult Learning Australia (ALA) is the national peak body representing organisations and adults in the adult learning field. ALA brings together a diverse range of members from the adult education community, including educators at Universities, TAFE’s, community education providers, librarians, tutors and students to advance Australia as a learning society by:

  • advocating and promoting accessible and quality learning
  • researching and advancing innovative approaches to learning
  • developing and influencing policy on adult learning
  • celebrating the joy of learning.

ALA advocates for the greater attention to adult learning in Australia both in policy and funding terms. To read about the various research reports, media releases, news and announcements, and to see the various projects that ALA are involved in, go to their website.
