The Senior Australian of the Year Award - 2003

State and National awards, which recognise and celebrate the contribution of older Australians to the community. This award is managed by the National Australia Day Council.

Bruce Campbell MBE

Bruce is an advocate for rural Australia. He created the concept of 2002’s Year of the Outback, inspired by the untapped potential of the outback and his own love for rural Australia. He has made many other contributions to the community, including being involved with the Surf Life Saving Association of Australia, the Queensland Duke of Edinburgh, and the St John’s Ambulance Association.

Visit the Australian of the Year website for more information about the 2003 Senior Australian of the Year Awards.
